The surgery is open at the following times

Our phone lines are open from 8am -6pm Daily, outside of these hours the phones will be diverted to our Out Of Hours provider.

Extended Opening Hours

We have now been commissioned by the PCT  to deliver Extended Hours to our patients form August 2011.

Previous practice surveys has shown us that our patients would like to see a regular Doctor at the practice during the week, and due to the demands of work commitments, patients would like the opportunity to attend earlier in the morning , prior to going to work.

We have therefore looked at our opening times, and based on the feedback information from surveys and patients who require early blood appointment due to work or because they need to 'fast' for them we have extended our hours to match what we currently feel is the demand of our patients.

The new hours will start from Tuesday 2nd August 2011.

Our new Extended Opening times will be :

Tuesday's  7.00am , for GP and Blood appointments

Friday's 7.30am , for GP appointments.

These are for booked appointment via the internet or by phone through the surgery 0161.972.9999.

If you have booked an early appointment and you are then unable to make it , please ring on our special number, which is only open during the Extended Hours period, until our main surgery line opens at 8am, on 07918 638397.

When We Are Closed

When the surgery is closed telephone 0161 972 9999 to be redirected to the Out of Hours service.

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

We are fortunate at Boundary to have an excellent mix of male/female GPs , who work a combination of full time/part time, and some who have other interests and work elsewhere in the week.. We thought it woud be helpful if you knew whcih Doctors generally worked on which days, to help with your appointment planing.
